The Portland Jazz Festival

The Portland Jazz Holiday has been celebrating jazz and the town of Portland, Oregon, featuring local and world performances, since 2004. Each Feb , the Holiday hosts ticketed performances, free shows, and jam sessions. PDX Jazz, the festival's umbrella organization, puts on diverse tutorial events, honoring both jazz and Black History Month.

 

The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival

Since the 1st New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Holiday in 1970, the town has brims with more music, food, and fun of all sorts than common for the period of the event. The holiday, which usually happens over the course of 2 weekends in the Spring, rivals Mardi Gras, captivating over 650,000 guests.

   

Monterey Jazz Festival

Set up in 1958, four years after the Newport Jazz Holiday became the 1st big out of doors jazz event, the Monterey Jazz Holiday has been one of the biggest annual jazz holidays in the world. Held each September on the Monterey Fairground in stunning Monterey, California, the holiday commenced when Jimmy Lyons, a jazz radio host in San Francisco, wished to host a holiday in the spotless hills near Monterey Bay.
