Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival
Made by the Varsity of Idaho, The Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival serves as one of the best holidays of its kind in the US, playing host to thousands of music aficionados around the globe. It creates an environment where seasoned musicians can engage with elementary though college-age student musicians.
History
The Lionel Hampton Jazz Holiday started in 1967 with twelve attendees and one musician. It slowly grew into a distinguished holiday, getting first class talent and entertainment. In 1984, jazz legend Lionel Hampton took part in the festival and a year later the event was renamed in his honour.
Time-frame
When the holiday was first held it lasted just one day. Today, but the party lasts for 4 days.
